The common space was my favorite, it feels homey and has big windows looking out at pine trees. You don’t see that much in Baguio unless you’re staying in Camp John Hay or BCC. The staff were kind and helpful too. Inn Rocio is a cozy little bed-and-breakfast. The room is basic but has what you need, including good water pressure and a heater that works well. Breakfast is simple, but enough to get the day started.

I usually have good things to say in my reviews and tend to skip writing about bad stays because I don’t like spreading negativity. Every so often, though, a place earns a negative review. We didn’t check the ratings before booking here, and we regretted that. If you’re in Baguio City in the Philippines, I’d look for a better-rated hotel. The room was decent, but we couldn’t open or shut the windows from inside. We had to go outside to do it, and the windows were open on our first night. An extra blanket cost 50 pesos each. That may not be a lot, but charging guests extra for comfort seems ridiculous. It should be included in the room rate, and then guests could just have a blanket when they ask. If they don’t ask, the hotel keeps that 50 pesos. There was a sign in the lounge calling the place your home away from home, but it didn’t feel that way. The Covid screens were still at the front counter, making staff feel cut off from guests instead of welcoming them. Breakfast was free, but the eggs were ice cold, served with garlic rice and a choice of protein. Asia seems to have embraced the cold egg concept, and this restaurant was no exception.

It’s an older place, but clean, quiet, and peaceful. Burnham Park is very close.

We really liked the food, it was delicious and very affordable. The location worked well too, with Burnham Park and the Baguio Night Market within walking distance and lots of tourist spots accessible. We got to Baguio before check-in time and they let us in early. The staff were welcoming and seemed to be smiling all the time. The room’s design felt a little old-fashioned, but the bathroom surprised us by being so modern. I’d definitely stay here again if I return to Baguio.💗

A lovely, cozy alternative to a hotel. Our renovated room was roomy and really pleasant, and breakfast was good.
