The rooms are roomy and have cable TV, plus an electric fan if you need one. There’s hot water in the bathroom, though the pressure is weak. Staff at both the hotel and cafe were friendly and accommodating, and it’s a good place to stay. It’s an old house converted into a hotel, spa, and cafe, and it can be hard to find if you miss the sign.

The parking is great, and I liked the ube jam, but my food arrived cold. Staff tended to stay at the counter instead of noticing when customers might want to order more or need help with the menu.

The staff were courteous and friendly, and the hotel was clean, with a fairly large bathroom. It has a rustic, old feel, and the temperature was comfortable even without air conditioning. The white bed curtains weren’t to my taste, though, and the small sign was easy to miss, especially at night. Better visibility would help. We visited over Holy Week in April 2023 and ate lunch at the restaurant. The place looked lovely, but the food was just so-so. Service took a long time, perhaps because it was Holy Week and they may have been short-staffed. Getting the bill took a long time too. The price felt high for basic amenities. Plated breakfast was included, but there were only a few choices. On our second day we paid for two extra breakfasts. Since we planned to drive early on our last day and couldn’t use the breakfast included for six people, we asked whether those two could be offset against the breakfasts we wouldn’t have. They said that wasn’t allowed. They didn’t seem flexible or customer-oriented. I’m not sure I’d recommend the place, but you could try it. For me, the two stars are for the location and cleanliness.

The cafe has plenty of menu choices, and the romantic setting was especially nice that morning when it wasn’t crowded. My husband liked his Spanish omelette, which came with free coffee and made for a generous breakfast. I had tapa with rice and egg. It wasn’t anything special, though I liked the lemongrass tea that came with it. We may come back and try dinner.
