We spent five days here, and it felt like our home in Batanes. Our room was clean and inviting, with a beautiful ocean view from our balcony, and you can stroll to the nearest beach from the hotel. The staff were friendly and accommodating, handling requests big or small when they could. We forgot the frozen fish we’d bought on our flight home, but the van driver brought it to us and even put it in a nicer eco bag. We’ve stayed at many hotels and haven’t experienced that kind of courtesy before. For a good place to stay in Batanes, choose Boulder Bay Residences.

It’s a bit far from the plaza, but the free shuttle and food delivery from Bunker, with a small delivery charge, made that easier. We picked Boulder Bay for its mountain and sea views, and I’d love to come back. It’s a hidden gem. The people made the stay especially good. I love Lala, who’s so pleasant, and Ms Alpha was just as nice. The kitchen staff were accommodating about preparing meals for my Senior Citizen father with diet restrictions, and they let us store the fish we bought in their freezer. The function room is available for rent. The rotary club had an event while we were there, but we weren’t disturbed on the second floor. I’m not sure how it was for the people on the third floor.

The sea was close enough to walk to, and we fell asleep to the sound of the waves and woke up to a beautiful view. Our room was spacious and clean, and they provided daily room service. The food was exceptional, and I definitely recommend this place, especially for families. They were responsive to my questions on their Facebook page and mobile number. When I arrived, my requests had been handled, including help with tours and storing my medication in the refrigerator, so the arrival was easy.

Boulder Bay Residences made our son’s christening a dream. The decorations and event styling were on point, and the lights and sound were top-notch, high-end quality and the best in the province. The event coordination was reliable, so as new parents we felt at ease and knew experienced professionals were handling everything. I highly recommend them and would certainly celebrate our son’s future milestones there.
