Henann Resort Alona Beach

We tried Henann Panglao on a day pass and had a great time from start to finish. The resort is right on Alona Beach, close to everything, but it still feels peaceful and private once you’re inside. It’s spacious, clean, and laid out thoughtfully, with several pools, beach access, and lots of loungers, so it’s easy to relax without feeling crowded. The mood is cool and sophisticated, and the staff were pleasant, attentive, and quick to help. The buffet was included with the pass and was a real highlight, with good variety, quality dishes, and fresh, well-prepared food. It was better than the usual resort buffet. Even visiting for the day felt like the full resort experience. It makes you want to stay longer. Maybe next time I’ll book a room.

The adults-only pool (16+) was a nice quieter spot, and the pool area by the beach made it easy to relax. We were there near Chinese New Year, when the hotel was quite full, so the resort-style buffet had plenty of choices. There’s also an à la carte restaurant, though we didn’t get to try it. The gym was impressively well equipped. The property was very clean, including the modern, well-maintained bathrooms and showers, and the staff were polite, attentive, and ready to help. We had a great stay and would recommend it.

Swimming together beneath the palm trees at Henann Resort Alona Beach felt like a dream. Our balcony room overlooking the pool was spotless, gorgeous, and so comfortable, a lovely place to share quiet, romantic moments. The pool itself was stunning, too. I spent two beautiful days here in 12/2025 while visiting my fiancée. Bohol means a lot to her because it’s the island where she was born and raised, and this stop became one of the most meaningful parts of our journey. Coming back to the Philippines after a humble childhood here, now having built a life in the USA, filled me with gratitude. We’ll always cherish sharing this peaceful paradise, and hope to return one day to retire here. Truly a five-star experience, highly recommended.

The pool bar's happy hour from 3-7pm was fun, and the beach was clean. There’s an adults-only pool too, a good choice for couples wanting a romantic spot. The pools were great and clean, the rooms were nice, and it’s very close to the main area. I’d highly recommend it. I’d read the mixed reviews, but found the staff and service amazing.
