ZEN Rooms Bamboo Beach Station 3

I had a memorable trip in March 2025. The rooms are on the small side, but they’re clean and well air-conditioned, and for the price and location I can’t complain. You’re close to the main attractions, yet tucked away enough to enjoy some peace and quiet. The bathrooms aren’t luxurious, but they were perfectly good for a three-star hotel in the Philippines. I’d recommend it.

The beachfront setting was a big plus, with a great view and easy access to nearby places. We also enjoyed the complimentary buffet breakfast, and the staff were consistently kind and helpful. For the price, the rooms were okay, with good cold air conditioning and hot and cold showers, though the floor felt slippery and sticky. One of the babies in our family was bitten by what we think may have been bed bugs or mosquitoes. We asked for a thorough cleaning of the bed and room, and the staff responded promptly. The Wi-Fi was unreliable, so I wouldn’t recommend it if you need to work remotely on vacation. Given the price, I think the stay was worth it compared with higher-end Boracay hotels, as long as you don’t expect too much.

The staff are the reason I’m still giving this place three stars. They’re extremely friendly and helpful, and made us feel at home. The negative parts weren’t their fault, they were just doing their jobs. The rooms are good, but the breakfast buffet is extremely basic. I only ate there three times in two weeks, and the Wi-Fi is unreliable if you need internet. What really bothered me was the staff taking away the beach chairs and tables right at sunset. Every night, I’d go take a picture and come back to find the chairs gone and our things left on the little table. I’d sit beside it to enjoy the last bit of sunset, and then they’d come to take the table too. It happened every night with everyone. Come on, Bamboo, give guests another half hour to enjoy the sunset.

For a relatively inexpensive stay, this place was fine. It’s right on the beach near Station 3, though getting there from the road involves a short walk. The staff were friendly and helped us with our cases. There’s a convenience store a short walk away for supplies. Our room had air conditioning, a TV, kettle and fridge, and the shower had a water heater. Breakfast can be added to your package for a fee.
