Henann Palm Beach Resort

Some staff were friendly, but I noticed what seemed like a clear difference in how certain Filipino guests were treated compared with white foreign guests, who appeared to get warmer service. It made the stay uncomfortable. Cleanliness was another serious disappointment. Restaurant cutlery still had food on it several times, and many breakfast glasses looked only half washed. For a hotel calling itself five star, hygiene should be much better. Furniture in the room and common areas was visibly damaged and worn, making the place feel poorly maintained and old rather than luxurious. The included breakfast buffet also fell short, with low quality food, little variety, and not much effort toward a premium meal. Boracay is beautiful, but for the price and supposed five star rating, Henann Palm Beach Resort didn’t meet expectations. To me, it felt closer to a three star stay.

I loved sitting on the balcony with coffee in the morning and evening, taking in the calm surroundings. It was one of the best parts of a very relaxing stay. The atmosphere was peaceful and everything felt comfortable from arrival. The pool was easy to reach whenever I wanted a refreshing swim, and being near the beachfront meant lovely views and sea breezes. I had a wonderful time and would definitely like to return.

The pools and bar were great, with a relaxing atmosphere, and it was easy to get to the beach and nearby sights. Staff were friendly throughout. Breakfast had a wide choice of Filipino and Western dishes. The mango shake costs extra, but it’s worth it. A few parts of the guest experience could be smoother. Check-in involved a lot of repeated paperwork and manual checks, like a classic PMS and systems integration problem. Direct booking rates were higher than OTA prices, which seems like a missed chance to encourage bookings through the hotel. Before arrival, replies to questions were often slow or didn’t come at all. Since each property seems to have its own email address, it wasn’t always clear where to ask or follow up. A smoother digital guest process and a better direct booking offer, like hotels such as The Dylan in Amsterdam, could make the experience exceptional and reduce staff workload.

We keep returning to Henann Palm, and this visit reminded us why it’s one of our favorite places in Boracay. The rooms are well maintained, the facilities are excellent, and the whole place feels comfortable and convenient for a relaxing island break. Breakfast remains a highlight. Even after several stays, we still think the buffet is among the best in Boracay, with a huge range of choices for different tastes. We genuinely look forward to it each morning. The inviting pool is another favorite, great for a swim or a lazy afternoon in the sun.
