Le Soleil De Boracay

We had an ocean-view room that was spacious and comfortable. The beach path and nearby clubs can be noisy, so light sleepers may want to pick a room farther from the front. The nightly entertainment was very good, with ballads and 80s hits, and breakfast had enough to fuel the day. The service was excellent across the resort, from food service and the front desk to concierge, room service, and security. Everyone made sure we were looked after, and even gave my wife a birthday present. AJ and Mecy helped us with suggestions and whatever else we needed. We really appreciated their care.

The Le Soleil staff were nice and polite, but they couldn’t do anything about our terrible experience with their transfer partner, Southwest Tours. We stayed at Le Soleil de Boracay from April 30 to May 4 for Laboracay. We paid 2,250 pesos per person for round-trip transfers, more than Henann charges, but didn’t get the service we paid for. The driver seemed new and didn’t know the area. He dropped us on the main road instead of taking us to the hotel, leaving my boyfriend and me to carry and push our own 20 kg bags, plus a backpack, all the way there. That was extremely difficult and unacceptable for a paid transfer. No one helped us from the van to the hotel. Southwest Tours staff only helped if we gave them 100 pesos, first from the airport to the boat, then another 100 pesos from the boat to the van. Even after tipping and paying for the round trip, nobody helped us get to the hotel. Compared with transfers from other hotels, this was very disappointing and ruined our stay.

There was no hair dryer in my room. I kept asking the night front desk, but he only repeated that they were all booked and wouldn’t help me find one in another room.

The best part is the location: right on the beach and in the middle of everything. I loved this place. It’s old, and the rooms are a little shabby, but it has charm, sits away from the maddening crowds, and the staff are lovely. They’re renovating the establishment bit by bit. We were lucky to get one of the recently redone rooms at the front of the hotel, overlooking the beach. It was very comfortable and nicely presented.
