LuxeView hotel seemed reasonably priced, and the ocean view from our room was OK. It’s on Bulabog beach, which felt windier and much less attractive than White beach. On good days, Bulabog is packed with kite surfers. If you’re not into wind sports, you’ll probably want to go to White beach. It’s a 20-minute walk or a 10-minute ride by motorbike, if you can find one at Bulabog beach. The hotel also has a free shuttle bus that goes to D'Mall, which is closer to White beach.

The room was big and had a view, with a balcony, a comfy bed, and a good cooker. Staff were friendly, and it’s very close to kitesurfing schools. It’s far from the parties, which might be a downside for some. It was very noisy, though. Bikes and cocks kept us from resting unless we had earplugs. The shower could have had stronger pressure, and there were no washroom amenities, not even soap. I’d give it a solid 3*.

The rooftop gets overrun with mosquitoes at night, though we didn’t find any inside the room. Even so, this was the most comfortable hotel we managed to book. We’d already crossed two other hotels off our list and wouldn’t go back to them. Luxeview was stunning once we got inside, despite the high price, and a room facing the shore is worth it for that jaw-dropping view. We’ll book here again on our next Boracay trip.

There wasn’t much to do outside, though maybe we came at the wrong time of year. The view was okay, and inside the rooms were roomy and clean. Staff were friendly.

A beach-facing room is the one to get. You can watch a beautiful Boracay sunrise from there.
