The food exceeded my expectations, and I was especially thankful for the owner’s considerate kindness. After five days in Boracay, having Korean food made me feel great. I’m a foodie and had been looking forward to trying it. This is Paper House in Station 3 of Boracay. Walking down the alley, I wasn’t sure the resort would actually be there, but it turned out even better than I’d imagined. There’s a restaurant downstairs and private rooms on the second floor where you can enjoy Korean cuisine. The upstairs rooms are nicely designed and seem ideal for couples.

The house is clean and the food is delicious. You can get to the beach in just a minute. It’s called Paper House, though the restaurant on the first floor feels more like an alley restaurant.

The food seems to be a point of pride here, and the chef has a hotel background. Finding the place is the tricky part for first-timers: as you enter Station 3 Beach, take a left into a middle alley, then turn left again by a supermarket. It’s a Korean restaurant tucked inside.

The comfortable interior and relaxed atmosphere made it easy to enjoy my meal. I came back today after a disappointing visit about two years ago, encouraged by all the good reviews, and the food tasted so different this time. I usually struggle with chicken feet because they’re often too spicy, but these were only a little hot, and even my Filipino friend could eat them. It can be hard to find if you don’t know the area, though good directions should get anyone there. I liked the restaurant. ^^

I tried the pork belly and soybean paste stew after seeing so much praise for the place on Instagram and blogs. The stew tasted like some mysterious Filipino version, maybe 40 out of 100 for me. My companions gave up on the pork belly and left it, but I ate all of it. Back at the room, my digestion was in bad shape, and I had to get through it with two Bearse digestive pills and a can of cola. This was yesterday, around the Station 3 alley. I don’t know about Naver blog anymore, and I can’t trust Instagram either!!!
