The hotel is in a great spot by the mall, beach, and all kinds of restaurants. Every interaction with staff was welcoming and professional. Vincci was especially helpful, and knew a lot about the Borocay activities and places we were interested in. The building itself needs a lot of work. Floors, walls, trim, and fixtures all need attention, and even the upstairs restaurant floor is in poor condition and should be replaced. The cosmetic problems are everywhere and make the hotel look neglected. I don't know if the owners are being cheap or simply don't care, but the staff take pride in their work and the owners should take pride in their investment. Security staff standing for long hours should also have a rubber mat. I was told they plan to install elevators in the future, which would help. The hotel needs a lot of TLC to look better. I hope they fix it up instead of letting it look neglected.

Station 2 is right at the heart of things, with the beach, shops, and restaurants all easy to reach, and the breakfast had a tasty variety to start each morning. Our room was comfortable, clean, and well maintained. The staff were friendly, accommodating, and always ready to help with a smile. We had an excellent stay at The Tides Hotel Boracay from start to finish. Highly recommended for couples, families, or anyone after a convenient, comfortable stay in Boracay. We'll definitely come back on our next visit!

The staff were nice, and being in Station 2 near the beach and D'Mall made getting around easy. My daughter loved the fresh, warm breakfast and keeps talking about it. It was my first stay here. I just hope the beds are comfier if we come back.

Breakfast was a real letdown: our meals took around 45 minutes on average, and I can imagine it becoming a nightmare when lots of guests eat at once. The front desk also wasn't much help with our problems, and we had to remind them the next day to get the welcome drinks we hadn't received on arrival. The biggest issue came on our first night in a ground-floor room, when we found there was no hot water. The heater was damaged, and two maintenance staff spent about two hours fixing it, repeatedly coming in and out of our room and bathroom. The shower temperature knob was missing too, so they had to salvage a replacement just to make the shower usable. The location in the middle of Station 2 is the hotel's strongest point. Everything is close by, though most of the better restaurants still take a short walk to reach. The service, upkeep, and guest experience need serious improvement to live up to the hotel's potential.

The transfer between the airport, port, and hotel felt less personal than I expected for the price. Guests from several hotels were pooled together, while on earlier trips I'd had exclusive transfers at a similar price. Adjusting the rates or improving that service would make the stay feel like better value. I appreciated how friendly, accommodating, and efficient the staff were. Tides Hotel is right in the middle of D’Mall, so shops and restaurants are easy to reach. The room was comfortable, but there's no elevator, which could be difficult for some guests. Breakfast was free and served as a simple plated meal. I expected a buffet like the ones in older vlogs, and found the options limited. 3/5 stars.
