Mom Shie’s Apartelle and Restaurant

We couldn't get dinner because the gate was closed by 9pm, and we couldn't order from the restaurant. With a car, don't park inside or you'll get stuck. The restaurant closes early, there was nowhere else to get food because the gate was shut with nobody to ask, and Grab doesn't work in the area. Breakfast was included, but the serving was tiny. Bangus silog was the only option, with the fish cut into little pieces and scrambled egg with potatoes. It was okay, but not worth the money. We also ordered Calamari and Dinakdakan for lunch, and the portions were too small for the price. I booked one night after filtering Agoda for pet friendly hotels, where this place came up first. At check-in, a staff member immediately said they weren't listed as pet friendly and asked for an extra fee for my Pug dog. I refused and showed the Agoda search and hotel description. They didn't insist on charging me, but the whole thing put me off and made what should've been a relaxing short stay stressful. I wouldn't recommend the property. They also need to explain the check-in time and the hourly charge for arriving early before guests arrive. If I'd known, we could've gone out for lunch and come back at the right time instead of being surprised with the fee. Breakfast at 9am is too late when you want to leave early, especially with the gate closed until 8am. Waiting until 9am for such a small breakfast wasn't good.

The food was really bad and left me feeling gross. I'm not a picky eater, and in the Philippines I usually go for butter chicken when I don't know the menu or can't understand it. Even the Pakbet was better at a canteen. At lunchtime, they had to wake up the cashier in another building when we needed to pay. Definitely not for me. I rarely write reviews, but I really hated this place.

It's handy for random get-togethers or secret dates, and while you wait you can play billiards or chat with family and friends. We come here when the restaurants in nearby towns have already closed. They stay open late, have lots of food choices, and the meals are hearty, tasty, and affordable. Service takes at least 10mins. Travellers might like it for those reasons too. The place is PWD friendly, with parking out front and a big lot at the back. I think the back section could host large events. There's always an album playing over the speakers, and I'm not a fan of all the plastic plants. Ventilation is just electric fans. Also, something you order from the menu may turn out to be unavailable. 9/10 would recommend.

We got the bundle for 6 people. The food was all good, and the service was quick.
