Eden Beach Resort Zambales

The main frustration was ordering meals. Dinner took 1-2 hours, and the restaurant said many guests had ordered ahead. We tried to place breakfast orders in advance too, but they wouldn't take them. Then we arrived at 6 AM, an hour before the restaurant opened at 7 AM, and were told advance orders were being prioritized again. It was confusing and frustrating, especially if outside food and cooking aren't allowed. Apart from that, it was a pleasant stay. The superior room was cozy, and the good air conditioning made for a comfortable sleep. We got two complimentary bottles of water and bath towels. The room can fit four if requested at booking, with extra mattresses provided. Staff were nice and accommodating.

The beach was the only part I enjoyed. We rented Grand Villa 2 at Eden Beach Resort in Zambales for 25 people, expecting privacy and clean, complete amenities. We didn't get that, and the villa wasn't worth the price. The rooms were poorly maintained, the sheets were rough, and the bathroom was clogged and messy. The water tasted bad and was overpriced, there were no trash bins, and staff hadn't cleared the rubbish even by morning. There seemed to be too few staff for such a large resort, and they prioritized hotel guests and restaurant orders. Staff, including the guards, weren't approachable, and the owner was rude. Although the place is pet-friendly, so many dogs roamed outside that going out felt scary, and there was dog poop all over the sand. It wasn't like the advertising. I won't be back.

We stayed on the 4th floor, which isn't senior-friendly since there's no elevator. There are plenty of rooms on lower floors and villas, though. Overall, the property was nice and very clean, with a swimming pool.

The free beach volleyball was fun, and the staff were polite and helpful. Our room was clean and smelled nice, while the general atmosphere and amenities were pleasant, especially the beachfront villas. There were some real drawbacks: the resort felt small and crowded, parking was very limited, and without an elevator, carrying luggage was difficult. The pillows and blankets were thin, trash wasn't collected regularly, and there was a little rust on the bidet and shower fittings. Food tasted good but was overpriced, and service was slow. The pool was poorly maintained, with dirty water and hazards including broken tiles and loose screws in the pool. There were no warning signs, and someone had a minor accident because of those hazards.
