The service was great, but there’s no elevator. Rooms facing the street aren’t soundproof, so traffic noise can be bothersome.

The room was spacious and the bedroom had a city view, but the stay wasn’t pleasant and I left early. I paid for a 22-hour stay in the one-bedroom Laoag unit, but was told there was already another reservation and I had to leave early. That meant I’d only get 18 hours, despite being charged for 22. I walked in and booked for one night at Sunny Day Residences. The room was on the building’s 4th floor, and there was no lift. It wasn’t clean: the table hadn’t been wiped properly. The shower drain didn’t work, so water started pooling and I had to stop because it was gross. The phone line was down, so I called on my mobile to report it. Since it was late, I said they could send someone in the morning. I left early, and the stay wasn’t worth the price. A partial refund would have been appropriate given the room’s condition.

We only ate at the restaurant, which is cozy and has friendly servers. The food was delicious, especially the garlic parmesan chicken wings, lumpiang shanghai, and pancit canton. Sometimes our favorite dishes were out of stock.

The food was probably the best part of our stay. Breakfast and room service were both very good, and it’s a good place to stay when you have business in the area. The place is cozy, the sheets were clean, and the AC and shower heater worked. I did spot a few small cockroaches, so don’t leave food out where they can smell it.
