OYO 677 Roseate Pensione (Vaccinated Staff)

Room 204 had a few issues. The staff were nice, but the room smelled of cigarettes when we arrived, and it wasn't cleaned during our four-day stay. There were no toiletries either. The Wi-Fi was weak, so I used my mobile data. The air conditioner didn't work; when I asked to move to a room where it did, they said there'd be an extra charge, so we used an electric fan. The old TV wasn't working properly, and I asked them to replace it. It was also really noisy when the door was closed.

I booked through Agoda for six nights. The room was okay for the price, but the bathroom was disgusting. I arrived late and was exhausted, and I needed somewhere to sleep because I had appointments during the first three days, so I didn't complain. Roaches kept peeking out through cracks in the bathroom wall whenever I went in. I just sprayed disinfectant each time.

The only real plus was the affordable price. The first room smelled overwhelmingly of fabric conditioner, had no bathroom rags, and the telephone didn't work. Worst of all, there were lots of red ants on the bed. When we told staff, they offered us chalk to deal with them. We refused, and they let us move to another room on our own, handing over the key without helping with our belongings. They even asked us to bring the pillows along. We'd paid for a room for two, but the replacement was only for one person. They said that was all they could offer, and refused to charge us the single-room rate because we'd booked online. There were still ants in the new room. Its telephone worked, but nobody answered, and there was no Wi-Fi. I know I can find better accommodation for the same price.

The beds were comfortable, the AC was cool, and the hot shower worked. It's close enough to the main road to get around easily, but far enough away to avoid the traffic noise. The place was affordable and clean, and the staff let guests get on with their own business without bothering them.
