WJV Premium Hotel

I'm a USC student and had stayed here before, but the visit on August 21, 2025 was spoiled by the front desk. Around 10:12 AM, the staff member on duty seemed not to understand basic hotel procedures, including the difference between changing rooms and checking out. Then at 10:25 AM she switched off our room's air conditioning without warning or talking to us. We were still inside and hadn't started checking out, which wasn't due until 12 noon. That was a serious breach of our privacy and comfort. She's responsible for this bad experience and should be fired. Avoid the hotel until the staff are properly trained.

Getting around was easy, with transport close by and restaurants, coffee shops, fast food, pharmacies, and small supermarkets nearby. The location was perfect. Inside, though, the receptionists seemed to need better customer service training, and the shower pressure was so weak that bathing took a long time. The tables and other surfaces, including the mugs, were dusty enough that I had to wipe them before using them. The elevator was uncomfortably hot, and I worried it could be dangerous if someone got stuck inside and couldn't breathe.

The rooms were bigger than I expected and clean, and the hotel is affordable, well placed, and easy to reach by public transport. The rooms are cheaper than other options too, so I'd recommend it for a quick city stay. Booking through Agoda or Booking.com was disorganized, though, and verifying the reservation took a long time. We'd already paid to extend because we were supposed to check out at 10am, I think. Then, while I was driving, someone kept calling. I didn't answer, and they texted to ask if we wanted more time because ours was nearly up. I thought, "What? We'd literally paid before leaving." Why were they calling then?

It's a very clean hotel, and everything about it is great. The price is affordable too.
