This place has a lot going on across a big property. There are several pools, an aqua park, an inflatable island in a large pool, a game room, a bar, restaurant, garden, beachfront, bathrooms, and a souvenir shop that also sells basic medicines and toiletries. Families with kids of different ages, even with grandparents along, should find plenty to do. There are lots of lounge chairs, and one pool has volleyball. The rooms are a good size and include a small fridge, hair dryer, carafe, free tea and coffee, plus a safe for valuables. There are two large water bottles in each room and refill stations on every floor. The breakfast buffet was awesome, with so many foods and drinks to choose from. Staff were polite and very helpful, there's a BDO cash machine, and they take credit cards. Grab food delivery can only come to the property's gate, not the lobby. It's not far to walk, but you can ask for a free shuttle to pick up the order and bring you back. Booking a Grab car from the resort was easy for me. Grab cars can enter the gate and collect you at the lobby entrance. GreenGSM was available too, and we used it from Newtown to Solea. My one issue was the bathroom setup. I thought the resort would be family friendly, but our rooms had glass bathroom walls, and someone outside could pull up the blinds. That caught me off guard because the booking details didn't mention it. I wish they'd explain that when people book, so anyone who doesn't want that kind of bathroom can choose a different room.

The service at Salt & Sky rooftop bar at Soles hotel an resort was fantastic, especially from our waitress Kristin Mierie. She knew the menu well, made several suggestions when we weren't sure what to order, and everything we chose from her recommendations was great. She checked on us often, tidied our table, and kept our drinks refreshed. The supervisor, Ms Rejane, was also kind and attentive. The place was packed, but she kept things running professionally, and her staff seemed to respect her. We felt warmly welcomed when we arrived. The fried calamari was delicious, as were the drinks we tried, including mojitos, margaritas, and a sex on the beach. From the rooftop, we had a refreshing view of the bay and the resort grounds, with its multiple pools for adults and kids, a large slide, and a mini waterpark. The spot was awesome, met all my expectations, and I can't wait to come back.

Solea Mactan Resort was great for our family, and we hope to return. The beachfront was lovely, the pools were clean, and the rooms were excellent. We had a wonderful time, and the breakfast buffet was delicious. Highly recommended.👍

The food was a real highlight. Dinner was sumptuous, full of flavor, well prepared, and every dish we tried was satisfying. We also had excellent care from the staff. Jessa and Lyca were especially warm and attentive, and went above and beyond to make sure we were comfortable. Our clean, comfortable, well-maintained room gave us a relaxing place to unwind. The surroundings were neat and peaceful, and the kids' pool made the stay easy and fun for our family. It was a memorable visit from start to finish, with a welcoming atmosphere. Highly recommended for families or anyone wanting a relaxing getaway.

The resort is set up well for kids, but many of the play structures were under maintenance when we visited. The place feels old, the floors were a bit dirty, and the pools were dirty too. With goggles on, you couldn't see underwater, and the pool bottom was slimy and slippery, with lots of leaves. We had a 30-min voucher for SUP, but when we got to the beach in the morning there were no guards. The beach is very small and rocky. I came away disappointed with the experience and wouldn't return.
