Mithi Resort & Spa

Our sea view room was spacious and had a lovely terrace. The other rooms in the second row were a downgrade in every detail, smelled bad, and neither room had a fly screen. The breakfast buffet was good, though not excellent. Room service was great, with anything brought right to the room. Snorkeling in front of the hotel was fine if you dare to swim past the buoys through the seagrass. The short trip to the marine sanctuary is definitely worth it. There's also a private cave where you can swim alone. I was alone both times I went. Snorkeling inside with a torch was impressive because it's really deep.

At Mithi Resort & Spa Restaurant, the fish cooked in banana leaf was the standout: fresh, juicy, and seasoned with care, with nicely balanced flavors. The staff were warm, attentive, and professional without hovering. The calm setting and lovely atmosphere rounded out a great meal. I'd recommend it if you're after good seafood in Bohol.

The staff were fantastic and always ready to help. Service was super fast too. When we ordered water for our room, it usually arrived in under ten minutes. The room was comfortable and quite good, even if the furniture looked a little old. I really liked that there were several pools, including one with warmer water and another with cooler water. The tennis court and gym were nice extras. The restaurant food could be better, as other reviews have mentioned. For a country like the Philippines, it was disappointing that the breakfast buffet had only one or two fresh fruit options.

The private beach and amazing view are highlights, and the location is great. It feels like a resort for a wealthy family, though, and it's too big for my taste. There were lots of kids and famous people, but it was still very quiet.
