6/10
The staff were attentive, quick to respond, and genuinely helpful. Ask for something reasonable and they do their best to sort it out. The buffet breakfast was decent, with enough choice, though it wasn't anything to rave about. The room was comfortable enough but not especially memorable, and a lot of the amenities are showing their age. It's a pleasant enough stay for comfort and service, but the upkeep and overall experience could be better.

Park Inn is connected by a bridge to SM malls, so getting to plenty of restaurants and shops was easy. Davao generally feels safe, which added to my comfort. I'd stayed in Davao once before, in 2025, and came back for one night, March 16-17, 2026, in Room 705. The newly renovated room was clean and fresh, and the hot water pressure was excellent. Ms. Julia and Sir David at the concierge were very accommodating. Check-in went smoothly, and arranging a late check-out was no trouble.

The towels were thin and dingy, and the shower stalls could use some care, with mildew and water stains showing. Breakfast has a wide selection, and the staff are attentive. There's a convenience store nearby, and SM mall is just a short walk away. The shuttle is pricey, so a taxi or Grab may be a better choice.

We keep coming back to Park Inn in Davao, and we're already looking forward to another visit. The breakfast buffet has a fabulous range, and we enjoy the delicious dinner entrees too. Mely on security duty is always lovely to see when we arrive, so helpful and friendly. The hotel is lovely and conveniently located, the rooms are comfortable and clean, and the staff are attentive and friendly.

Being close to SM Mall was the one real plus. The rooms were cramped and poorly furnished, cleanliness was below par, and the bathroom faucet was noisy. Breakfast choices were limited and low quality, so the high room rates felt completely unjustified. For this price, there are better options elsewhere. I can't recommend it.
