The rooms were decent, and the air-conditioning was ice cold. Our group had a hassle-free stay, with polite, welcoming staff who worked well with our needs. Since meals and drinks were included at each mealtime, organizing our annual Filipino Martial Arts (RRK) training camp was easy. The extra food and drink options were affordable too. A relaxing getaway or a group event both seem like a good fit here, and I’d recommend it for the value.

The merienda was a highlight, especially the ginataang palitaw, ginataang mais, ginataang munggo, and champorado. We enjoyed all the dishes made with gata, and the food has improved a lot. We had a great time at our company team-building event. Thanks, FARMKO, for making us feel welcome. We’d be glad to visit again.

The resort atmosphere was lovely, and the kids had fun at the pool and playground. Fishing and feeding the animals were okay, though both could be better. The staff were friendly but need more training. Getting there meant a rough one-way road, and the 3.5 hr drive didn’t feel worth it. We stayed in the Tala room. The outside looked okay, but it wasn’t very clean inside. The bathroom was a mess and the pillows were dirty. I’m not sure they do housekeeping. The food was the worst part. At lunch they served sour burger steak, and after I told a staff member, she kept offering it to other guests. We ordered Spamsilog instead so we’d know what we were getting, and to be fair, it was legit spam. Their kwek kwek wasn’t quail eggs either, just a flat piece of egg white cut into 4s. Other customers complained from lunch through breakfast the next day. There wasn’t enough food for everyone and nothing was refilled, so we ended up with only scrambled eggs for breakfast. The food tasted poor, and the bento box and utensils weren’t clean. Our stomachs hurt afterward. Luckily we had brought our own water.

The hike was okay, with a few ups and downs, and made for easy morning exercise. The farm tour was underwhelming, and this is a very rustic place even in the cabins. You have to bus your own dishes. The mango shakes were mostly ice. Food was the biggest letdown. The pork fried rice was bad, the sisig tasted bad too, and the Chicken Adobo had more bones than meat. There weren’t many meat choices unless you like dried fish. The cabin fridge didn’t work, though the air-conditioning was great. The bed was fairly comfortable for one night. There was only one top sheet to cover up with, but I was comfortable enough. I’d pay more for better quality across the board.

The daily tour price didn’t meet my expectations. Service was nothing special, and the pool sits in direct sun with no roof. I wish it had some shade, since nobody wants to swim during the day. The ATV waterfalls adventure was hyped up and exaggerated. It was described as waterfalls, but what we got was a small river falls with large stones. There was no way to go down the falls, so we couldn’t really appreciate them or swim. We were also forced to give a compulsory donation.
