Residencia Katrina Bed and Breakfast

Pinche's restaurant draws a crowd, and the food there is fantastic. The place itself is a short walk from Art cafe and the beach, while being tucked away from the noise and crowds at the front. Our room was clean and comfortable. Eric and Jo were wonderful hosts. They arranged everything for us, negotiated prices so we wouldn't get ripped off, and shared invaluable local knowledge. Their friendliness and hospitality really made our stay. We enjoyed it so much and would highly recommend staying here.

The staff were welcoming and helpful with arranging things like tours and van transportation. Although check-in was at 2 PM, they let us leave our bags while we went island hopping. The room rates felt a little high for what you get, since the rooms are fairly basic. We got an air-conditioned room for four at 2500Php, discounted from the regular 3000Php, I think. Breakfast was good too.

We had a terrible stay and felt it was awful value for money. The room was old and moldy, the toilet wouldn't flush, the shower was cold, and there was no WiFi in the rooms. They also switched off the generator for two hours at noon. The owner was nice, but the other employees were rude and unaccommodating. Five minutes before check-out, they knocked to tell us we were already past the check-out time. Unbelievable.

The staff were very helpful, but we weren't happy with the rooms. We stayed in Rooms 10 & 11.
