Seed Dreams Room #5

The view of the sea is lovely while you eat, and the seats are comfortable. I especially liked the coconut chickpeas and the garlic rice, which was cooked perfectly. The carrot and mushroom soup was too plain and a little bland for me. They only take cash, and the Wi-Fi connection is good.

The chickpeas in coconut were pretty good, but the spicy tofu was terrible, with a sauce that tasted like store-bought sweet and sour. Service was very poor, too. They didn't speak English and couldn't explain the menu, so I wouldn't say the place is that good.

A note on the service first: I was the only guest for over an hour, but after I finished eating, nobody cleared my dish or checked whether everything was okay or I wanted anything else. That could be improved. I spent a week in El Nido and two weeks in the Philippines trying different vegan restaurants, and until Seed Dreams, everything had been very good. I ordered the tofu curry and asked if it was vegan. The first employee didn't know and checked with another, who said they could make it vegan. It tasted a little strange, but I thought that might just be the dish. It was the only thing I ate that day, and a couple of hours after leaving I got very sick with vomiting and stomach pain. I can't say what caused it, but either it contained milk or the tofu wasn't fresh. Something seemed wrong. Please make sure it's vegan and fresh.

The restaurant is fully vegetarian or vegan, and the view is great. I tried the spicy ramen and liked the food, though I thought the portion could have been a bit bigger. I'd give it 4.5 stars.
