The staff were pleasant and helpful, and breakfast was good. It’s a small hotel with a scenic restaurant view, a small pool, and a lovely garden setting. The room was fine, but the bathroom had a drain smell and the sink had no hot water, though the shower did. I also would’ve found a full-length mirror useful. At 150gbp a night, I expected more. The road in is narrow and bumpy, and partly goes over the beach, though the hotel’s tuk tuk and the town tricycles seem to handle it. You can’t see the whole sunset because the sun goes behind the mountain, but the view is beautiful. A good 3 star hotel if the price matched.

The room had plenty of space for two, and we could’ve used the minibar for late night drinks, though we usually went to the restaurant instead. We tried dinner in townsquare one night but ended up eating the rest of our meals at the resort, where there were more choices and a fantastic view. They offer transport to the town square, the center of town. We stayed four nights and were very pleased. The whole resort was well kept, the staff were friendly and helpful, and everything from airport pickup to our daily island trips went smoothly. Breakfast was included and had a different menu every day, plus an omelet bar. I’d happily recommend it to friends visiting El Nido.

The Nest is a dependable place to stay in El Nido if you want to be close to things while avoiding the noise of the town center. It makes a comfortable home base with a local feel. After a long day visiting the lagoons, the property feels like a quiet, secure and private retreat. The staff are warm, attentive, and genuinely helpful with arranging island hopping or transport. Rooms are consistently maintained, and the grounds are kept in pristine condition.

The pool and breakfast room both have beautiful views, and the grounds are clean and really well cared for. The rooms have lovely wooden floors and very comfortable beds. Staff were friendly and extremely helpful. It’s a calm little oasis in El Nido, just a short walk from town. This hotel was way beyond what we expected. Stay here if you can.

I loved how the hotel is surrounded by locals, rather than sitting in a strange tourist bubble. It’s an easy 15min walk to downtown, but far enough away from the craziness. The view is beautiful too. The staff were so thoughtful: pool staff brought me a beach chair by the water without me asking, and someone called my room to let me know I was about to miss the free breakfast. Breakfast had a good selection that changed every day, plus an omelette bar. They also offer airport rides and free rides to and from downtown. I arrived very late and was welcomed with a great mocktail. My room was clean, cool, and really comfortable. I couldn’t recommend The Nest more and will come back.
