The tables and cottages are clean, and the pool water is clean and cold. It’s still one of the city’s most accessible pools, with an entrance fee of 80 pesos. The location works well for city residents and people in subdivisions, and it’s easy to get to. They don’t charge corkage for food you bring, unless it’s lechon. I hope they maintain the place and fix things, because it’s been fine in the past but now feels creepy in places. The lake still has the best view, though the rooms beside it look scary. The changing and bathroom areas there aren’t maintained. The powder room has no water at the lavatory, smells of urine and mold, and is poorly lit. The rooms are no longer fit for service. The professional pool is dirty and neglected, beside an abandoned building. The common pool, shower, and grill area are functional, with working faucets, but the shower heads are broken. The grill area is messy and still usable, though somewhat hazardous. The restaurant and function space on the side no longer look pleasant. Also, the pool floors are rough, un-tiled cement. That’s okay, but they should smooth them for safety, since walking there can scrape your skin like sandpaper.

It’s a relaxing spot right in the city, and there’s food and drinks available so you don’t have to bring your own. The pool is very hygienic, with the water changed regularly, and it’s great for people who swim a lot. It works for small barkada get-togethers as well as big parties.

A nice place to unwind. The pool was clean and really refreshing, and getting there is easy since it’s near Gensan proper. The entrance fee is reasonable too, Php50 per head.

Eagle Scouts Organization of the Philippines General Santos City Council Chapter and the Boy Scouts of the Philippines General Santos City Council run summer swimming lessons every day except Saturday and Sunday, from 4:00pm to 7:00. The ten-day program teaches the basics of water safety, which can progress to Water Rescue. Swimming knowledge and skills help children feel more confident and prepared to explore the world around them. The training qualifies a child for the Swimming Merit Badge, required under the Advancement Scheme of the Boy Scouts of the Philippines. It’s meant to prepare children for bigger roles by helping them master their fears and physical faculties.
