Avior Hotel

That vegetable rice bowl I ordered for room service on my last day was the best I’ve had in the Philippines. I’d happily come back for that dish. The staff were generally good, and the place was kept clean. It’s near SM mall and fine for a night, but I wouldn’t call it good value for the room experience. The room was tiny, with a compact desk and little storage, and there wasn’t a cupboard for clothes. The bathroom was cramped too, with standing water and a poor shower head that sprayed the walls and everywhere except the person using it. During my four days there, mornings brought no hot water, only lukewarm water. After I reported it, hot water came back for one day, then stopped again. The thin walls also let me hear people talking and doing things next door. Breakfast was okay, but the choices for a vegetarian like me were limited, which I can understand if there aren’t many customers like me. One evening, though, the restaurant was empty and the staff still forgot my crepe order. I waited over twenty minutes, then asked about it. The guy apologized and said he’d forgotten, so I left without the crepe.

We had a lovely, comfortable stay, and the location worked really well. The AC could handle exactly the kind of cool climate I’m used to in Minnesota, which was a big plus. The views weren’t anything special, but I wasn’t staying for those. I’ll head to Pearl Farm for views.

The hotel itself is good, but there are a few things management should look into. You have to request toiletries, and breakfast was poor quality, with food that wasn’t great. My wife spotted live flies walking around on the table, and we saw a rat outside the restaurant corridor.

My family and I keep coming back to Avior Hotel, and we’re grateful to Ms. Abigail Villegas and her team for always helping with our bookings and doing their best to accommodate us. The location is convenient, with SM and KCC mall close by and what you need right around the corner. Our room was clean and comfortable. I gave the rooms a 4 because things were better when the hotel was newer, but a few years of wear is normal for any building. Even so, the atmosphere and the way things are kept have stayed much the same. Everything else was fine.
