That clogged toilet in our ground-floor standard room wasn’t great, though it didn’t overshadow the stay. The location worked well for us, with Aparente Street just a short walk away for tricycle access. Eve Street can be dark at night, but the property itself is well lit. We loved having the upstairs family room as a comfortable base in General Santos City. It’s spacious and homey, with a small sala, kitchenette, strong WiFi, good air conditioning, and a TV with streaming options. There are trees, a wide parking area, a pleasant alfresco spot for breakfast, and reassuring security. We first chose Drigg’s Pension House because it was affordable, then stayed for the warm, accommodating staff. Gemma deserves a special mention for sending us a video tour before we arrived. It became our quiet little base and, in many ways, our second home. Great value and a comfortable place to come back to after exploring GenSan.

The 24/7 guard helped me feel secure, and the staff were kind. They serve food, but both times I ordered, the menu items I wanted weren’t available. Still, I had a comfortable stay at Driggs Pension House, and it’s a good spot for a remote worker. I’d stay again when I’m in GenSan.

It’s a few meters from the public road, so it’s a nice place to relax. You’re paying just for the room, though, with no fridge, free bottled water, or even slippers. At least there’s a TV.

I stayed at malakas last week. I remember liking the place, but I didn’t like that the receptionist didn’t give us the remote control. WiFi was bad in the lower part of the room.

The staff are polite and well trained, and the place feels secure. It’s good for an overnight stay, with parking for your car. The phone wasn’t working, though, and that’s important for needs and emergencies.
