The room was decent enough, and they provided a towel and two bottles of water. It’s around 10km from the airport, in a school zone with lots of street food booths at night. A tricycle ride to SM Gensan costs only 15 pesos. We’d still book here again, since the problems felt minor and fixable. One CR light was out, and the AC was noisy and didn’t seem to have enough freon. It blew strongly but didn’t cool. The toilet bowl looked like it hadn’t been cleaned before we were assigned the room, and the restroom floor had many stains. The staff member had difficulty communicating in Tagalog or English. I tried to explain our concern, but she only nodded and didn’t take action.

You can walk to pretty much anywhere from this well-placed spot. The staff were very accommodating, and I thought it was the best value for money.

Right downtown, close to city hall and the main square, with a fire station on the corner. There’s a night market open most of the day, and Jollybee is the only one in the area. This is a small hotel with tiny rooms, but they’re well equipped for their size. The bathroom was good, and it had wifi and AC. I didn’t try the TV.

I stayed from 22 to 29 April, 2024, and had a very bad experience. I believe staff and management systematically steal from guests, taking cash or personal belongings from rooms while guests are out. There is CCTV, but it isn’t in use. I reported it to police, who weren’t interested, and I learned this had happened to previous guests as well. The owner / manager refused to speak with me. They know what is happening and don’t care. Staff come and go as they please. Stay at your own risk. I think all hotels in Gensan are better. Avoid this place.
