Goldberry Lite Iloilo

The restored heritage building gives Goldberry Lite Hotel a distinctive feel, while the interiors are modern, clean, and thoughtfully designed. The rooms have good beds and amenities, and I found the stay comfortable and cozy. Staff were consistently warm, professional, and helpful. It's well placed for landmarks, food spots, and transport. Some rooms are a bit compact, and the glass-walled bathrooms may not suit everyone, but the stay was pleasant and good value in the heart of Iloilo City.

We were there for five days, and the front desk staff were very nice. Breakfast was provided, and the bed in our second room was very comfortable. I hope the hotel manager or general manager will redecorate the rooms, because I think this could be a very good hotel. Our first room was 223. As soon as we entered, there were lots of cockroaches, and my child was very scared. I asked the front desk girl if we could move, and fortunately we got room 601. It was old-fashioned, with mold at the bottom of the bathroom and a broken, leaking showerhead.

The staff were very welcoming and kind, and they arranged our airport transfers quickly. Thanks for all their support and service. The hotel is conveniently located and reasonably priced for travelers exploring Iloilo. Our comfort was affected by several problems. The room felt old and poorly maintained, especially the bathroom, with mold and patchy second-hand repairs. The aircon barely worked and made loud noises all night. The rooms aren't soundproof, so you can hear everything in the hallway if you're a light sleeper. There were cockroaches throughout the room too. Despite the location and price, the upkeep and comfort made it hard to recommend for anyone seeking a restful stay.

The room was a bit dated, and the aircon took a while to cool it down. Since the same key card controls the door and the electricity, we couldn't leave it running when we went out. That would've been nice, especially while waiting for the room to cool. The staff were accommodating, and the pickup service we used cost ₱750. The ride wasn't boring. By around 7 p.m., most nearby food places were closed and the area felt quiet. A taxi ride of about 10 minutes gets you to the city center, since walking in the evening isn't really an option.
