The location was okay, but cleanliness was a real problem. There were blood stains on both the towels and bed linen. We were exhausted and didn't raise it that night, but it shouldn't happen. I had booked partly because reviews praised the cleanliness, and that wasn't what we found. When I asked for a coffee cup, I was told the room had only two glasses for hot or cold water. Booking also left a bad impression. The appealing rate shown while searching for deals turned out to be for PWD guests. You had to sign up before booking, and the regular rate wasn't clearly offered at first. At the hotel they told us the displayed rate was PWD-only. I found the regular option on the website later, almost 30% more before taxes and fees. That was frustrating. I asked about the 20% AirAsia x Hop Inn promotion advertised on our flight, but the staff didn't seem to know about it. They smiled and said there was no AirAsia discount, without checking or clarifying. The WiFi wouldn't connect to the TV, and staff couldn't sort it out, so we watched whatever was on for a while and then turned it off. Too many little things could have gone better.

The staff were warm and accommodating, and the room was clean, though the strong bleach smell when we checked in could be improved. I stayed for two nights. The location was convenient for most tourist spots and near SM Iloilo, but there's no pathway to walk there. For the price, it's hard to complain much, and it has the basic amenities you'd expect from a budget hotel. The thin walls were my main issue: hallway voices and footsteps echo into the room, especially at night.

The staff were quick and very helpful, and the place was clean and well cared for despite the affordable price. It's also easy to get around from here. The room felt fairly priced, and I'd stay again. The TV is smart, but the way the free internet login works means it can't use the WiFi, so YouTube and Amazon Prime weren't available. The speakers were poor too, making it hard to hear unless the volume was high enough to bother neighbors, so closed captions were useful. I was also surprised there wasn't an ice machine.

I was grateful to the early morning receptionist and security staff who helped move my 15kg mango parcel from the lobby to a taxi in time for my 6am ride to the airport. I'd made a spur-of-the-moment decision at the Guimaras Mango Festival to bring the mangoes home, and it was too much to carry alone. The location is excellent. This was my second stay at this hotel chain, and the Iloilo branch was up to the same standard as the Davao branch. It does share one problem, though: the smooth, glossy walls and floors bounce sound into the corridor. A sign asking guests to keep their voices down early in the morning and late at night would help avoid disturbing others.

We were eight people and booked four rooms, but they were spread over two floors, which made it harder to coordinate. Large groups may want to check at arrival whether rooms can be next to each other. The rooms were clean and well maintained, and when one had an air conditioning problem, the staff responded quickly and moved us to another room without a hassle. The location was a big plus, within easy walking distance of SM City Iloilo and lots of local restaurants. It was a pleasant stay, good value for money, and we'd consider coming back.
