La Fiesta Hotel

The room delay set a bad tone for our stay at La Fiesta Hotel. We were kept waiting on arrival while staff checked a problem with the room, which was frustrating. We expected a welcoming, smooth check-in and instead felt inconvenienced. I hope management takes this seriously and improves the process so other guests don't face the same hassle.

The staff were the highlight for me. They were polite and friendly, and always greeted me. I also appreciated how accessible the hotel is, with a ramp from outside to the lobby, a working elevator, and rails by the toilet, sink, and shower. It was quiet at night, close to Molo Church and Plaza, and there's a convenience store downstairs. The building looks a little dated, though my room seemed renovated. It was a bit dusty on the tables, but that didn't bother me. The small fridge worked perfectly. I had a pleasant stay and would come back with my family.

I'm still sitting here in a towel with shampoo on my head because the water never arrived. My wife called after I went down to refill my bottle about 10 minutes before showering. She explained that I was in the shower and needed water, and they said they'd bring some. Forty minutes later, nothing. We paid around 2,000 pesos for three nights and even extended for another night. We put up with the slow internet, weak water pressure, and other issues because we understood what we'd paid for. But nobody told us about the planned water tank maintenance and interruption at 9 a.m. Water is a basic need, and guests should be informed about a scheduled outage. The worst part is that I had just spoken with reception and still wasn't told.

The room was clean, and I slept well. It's easy to get to tourist spots, including churches and a museum, and there's a convenience store nearby. Service was quite good, though the lobby was being renovated. There was no restaurant or food service. I stayed one night and was satisfied.
