We stayed for three nights last week and enjoyed it. For the price, the room was good, the AC worked properly, and the toilet was fine. The TV could use a connection to a local station, and there’s no Wi-Fi, which is the main problem. People around the area were nice, and the bike drivers were friendly and very cheap. I’d give the apartelle 7 out of 10, maybe 9 with fast Wi-Fi.

There was no TV or Wi-Fi, the place was very dirty, the bed was dirty and had bedbugs, and the toilet was tiny. I paid for two nights, then gave them 1000 PHP in cash for an extra night so they could cancel the card payment. They charged my card anyway and kept the cash. The booking website couldn’t resolve it, and there’s no reception, just a woman who hands over the key. We left before they could charge us more.

The room was much larger than I expected, and the woman helping out was friendly and useful. There are places to get food, coffee, and beer just outside. Newtown is a five-minute walk, and the mactan shrine takes about 15 minutes on foot.

The room I got didn’t match the OYO photos. There were cockroaches, and the bathroom doorknob was badly rusted. The low price looked tempting, but I left disappointed.

It’s on an inner street near mactan newtown, with transport easy to access. The aircon was decent, but I was on the third floor and the Wi-Fi was poor. Water was scarce or unavailable in the morning. Bring your own toiletries, since only a towel is included.
