Axis Pension Hotel

It's affordable and convenient, but you get what you pay for. My room had no windows, and there were no sockets beside the bed. Music was loud from 7 a.m. or earlier, while guests or staff talked noisily in the hallway. It all seemed to echo through the building, with little consideration for people still sleeping.

We chose this hotel because it's not far from the airport, and for a night or two it's perfectly fine. The welcome was friendly, check-in was easy, and having a security guard at the entrance made us feel safe. There are little shops nearby and a 7-Eleven right next door, though that branch only takes cash, surprisingly. A restaurant close by serves breakfast, lunch, and dinner, but we didn't try it. Our room and bed weren't the biggest we've had, but the size was reasonable. It had a TV and air conditioning that cooled things quickly, and the Wi-Fi worked well throughout. The bathroom was very clean, though there was no toilet paper, and the shower is separate from the toilet so it doesn't soak the whole bathroom. I honestly don't understand the negative reviews.

For the price, it was a wonderful stay. The bed fit one person perfectly, and the whole team was warm and kind.

The rooms are simple, but they have what you need for a comfortable stay, and the price is good. What really made our time at Axis Pension Hotel Cebu was the staff: they were always smiling, kind, and ready to help. When we had a problem with our room, they promptly arranged a replacement without hesitation.
