The location is peaceful, close to a beach that isn’t too crowded, and the amenities are nice. The suite we booked through Agoda was spacious and very nice, but the arrival arrangements were disappointing. We called three days before check-in to confirm the special requests my boyfriend had submitted on Agoda. We were told they’d be handled, but none of them were granted. It felt like our service might have been deprioritized because we booked at a discounted rate. Right away, the room phone didn’t work, so we had to use our own cellphones to call the front desk whenever something came up, and often waited a long time for an answer. One TV remote had no batteries, and the bathtub was missing a stopper. Asking for each item separately took time with the phone issue. Management needs to do a better job preparing for guests and communicating.

For a suite, the price was reasonable and the room was clean when we arrived. There are two pools, dining options, and a private beach, so I’d still consider coming back. The restaurant menu looked promising, but lots of what we tried to order wasn’t available, lol. One night we asked the front desk for bottled water; they said they’d send it up, but it never came. The WiFi was weak and didn’t work during our whole four-day stay. I’m a nomad, so I’d really like to see that fixed.

My family enjoyed staying here. It’s an affordable, comfortable place if you’re not too picky and want somewhere to bring the family. The rooms are spacious, with a double bed and fast internet. The pools are large and clean, and there’s convenient beach access at Vista Mar. Food choices on the property are limited, but you can order through Grab without a corkage fee, which is handy. I didn’t ask for extras, but each bed only had one pillow and the bathroom had no floor mat. I hope the hotel can accommodate requests like those in future.

I wouldn’t recommend staying here, and I’d never book again. The place looked nothing like the photos, including the pools, which weren’t even in the building we booked and were below the standard the pictures suggested. There was hair in the bed and stains on the towels before we arrived. The cleanliness wasn’t what I’d expect for the price. A shower handrail was barely attached, and I nearly fell getting in and out of the bath/shower. They kept our entire deposit over two small drops of blood from a nosebleed. The drops could have washed out with water, and nobody told us that a small stain like that would cost the full deposit.
