Studio with Balcony at Saekyung 956

I had parking near my building, but was told there was none available and had to park very far away. There were lots of hidden fees, so make sure to ask about everything. The balcony view was decent at most. It also wasn’t properly disclosed that only 2 guests per room can use the pool, and I don’t think there are any exceptions. This review is more about the building than the room we booked. The location felt secluded, boring, and gloomy. Only one elevator was working, and it could fit 8 people at most. The building has seen better days, with decorations, paint, and walls falling apart. Our room was dull and awfully small for 6 people. The guards and front desk staff were snobbish.

The staff were professional, attentive, and helpful, and the breakfast buffet had lots of variety. Rooms were cozy, modern, and very clean. It’s in a great central location, close to everything.

I’ve stayed in several units, both short-term and long-term, and I like how accommodating my hosts are. The location works well for me: it’s a 13.00-peso tricycle ride to the market, and there’s a 7/11 and local coffee shops nearby. I also appreciate that you no longer have to walk back to the main gate late at night to get the paper thingy like before. Thanks naman for being considerate. I was shocked to see a big rat running through the hallway. More disturbing, though, is how the SECURITIES, CLEANING MAINTENANCE, and some renters in building 101 gossip in the hallway, even about management. Everyone likes chismis, but please keep it discreet. Very unprofessional.

The amenities include a nice pool and playground, and the prices are affordable compared with resorts. It’s good for a short stay or rentals, with access to Cebu City via the bridge.
