The reception area is open and inviting, with a view toward the pool, and the facade looks pleasing. The facilities seem fairly new and well maintained, and driving up to the receiving area gives the impression of a sophisticated resort. But the customer service was so poor that the attractive setting lost its value for us. We came for complimentary day use, which didn’t include food, so we brought our own. Reception said outside food wasn’t allowed. That was understandable since there’s a restaurant, and we were ready to discuss it and pay any corkage fee, as we’ve done at other resorts with the same policy. Two people from our group were talking to reception while the rest of us looked for somewhere to put our things as we waited. Security kept following us and repeating the same warning about our food. Three different staff members came over to tell us the same thing, drawing attention from onlookers and making us feel like common criminals. The staff dogged us with an arrogant attitude the whole time. I’ve stayed around the world in places ranging from budget hostels to luxury resorts, and I’ve never been treated this way in similar circumstances. Take that as you will, but the experience didn’t get better after we left reception.

It’s a lovely place for about a week, but after that I think I’d get bored. The beach is tiny and pretty awful, so most people seem to stick to the pools. It might suit Korean visitors or older people, but I felt almost trapped here, like you can’t really do anything.

Such a beautiful place. I can’t comment on the rooms because we only booked a conference hall for our Christmas party.

The front desk staff were courteous and explained the details kindly, but I wouldn’t choose this resort again when visiting Mactan. We bought food at the beach and paid for day use for our child, including ₱900 worth of consumables, without being told the adult rate was different. The large and kiddie pools also close at 6pm, which is early. The guard kept checking whether pool guests had wristbands, and that got annoying. For ₱1250, you can get a better experience at another hotel or resort.

We rented an Airbnb in Tower C and made use of Tambuli’s facilities every day. The pools were lovely, the staff really friendly, and we had a great stay. There’s a little beach too, and it was very clean. If people are unhappy about the vouchers, they should probably check the description before booking.
