We came for a view of Mayon Volcano and got just that, along with a lovely look across the harbor. The room was clean enough, with a ship’s-cabin style, a decent shower, and a mezzanine bedroom. Staff were helpful and pleasant, and breakfast at the harbor-side restaurant was good, with great service and a location we enjoyed. The hotel is on the third floor of an old, rather rundown mall, and it can be a little tricky to find. I liked the area, though: there are places to eat and drink, a supermarket, quite a few shops, and a great harbor view with active Mayon Volcano in the background.

The Superior room was clean and had a nice view of Mayon Volcano. It’s set apart from the basic rooms, so it was quieter, although we could still hear noise from outside. The bathroom was fine, with shampoo, soap, towels, and a bottle of drinking water provided, plus a heater. We had to ask the front desk for the missing aircon remote. The free breakfast was good too. Forgot to take photos of the room, lol.

For a budget hotel, the loft style room layout was really nice. It’s not perfect compared with luxury hotels, but the bathroom was bearable even though it wasn’t the cleanest. Shampoo and soap were there, but we had to ask for bath towels because none were in the room. At the time I wrote this, there was still no elevator access, so we climbed the emergency stairs to reach the hotel lobby.

Our stay was disappointing. The room had a rotting wood smell, and the old AC wouldn’t keep its temperature steady. We also found a cockroach. Since it was midnight and we didn’t want to bother anyone, we killed it ourselves.

Room 410 had a sea view and a loft layout, with two TVs inside. The room was very nice, the WiFi was strong, and breakfast was included. It was a great experience overall. They didn’t provide slippers or doormats.
