We found it perfect for a stopover, with a very comfortable bed, good shower, nice linen, and good internet. The staff were fantastic and attentive, and there was great food and entertainment downstairs. Excellent value for money.

I paid an extra $27/night for the junior suite, but after an AC problem they moved me to a Deluxe room half the size and offered no compensation. The hotel staff were excellent. Management needs more training in looking after repeat clients.

Breakfast at Filling Station on the 2nd floor was included, but it was just okay and there wasn’t much variety. We won’t be back. We arrived in Manila after 7 pm and had to push through the crowd at Cafe Cubana to get to the hotel. The elevator door is in the middle of the bar, and reception is on the 5th floor. Our room’s toilet was broken and ran all night. Outside was very loud too, with a guy yelling “tahooo” at all hours. There’s a sign by the elevator saying the hotel has “Short time” rooms. NOT A FAMILY PLACE.

I used to gatekeep this place back in the day. It’s decent for the price, but remember to request a non-smoking room. They’re sister companies with 1898 and Filing Station. I’m not sure if the free parking is always available. 🫣

The rooms are spacious and reasonably priced, and the location is excellent. The staff are great too. They’re dated, which is exactly what I like about this place, and there are no bright LED lights to hurt your eyes. It’s my favorite hotel in Manila.
