City Stay Inn Slex Makati

They cancelled my booking and tried to keep my money, even though the hotel still had no rooms after it happened. It looked like they had overbooked at my expense. I had given the front desk guy my ID and a 1,500 peso deposit. He said check-in wasn't until 2pm, so while I waited in the lobby, I received an email saying the hotel had confirmed my booking as a No-Show and I'd be charged the full amount as a cancellation fee. I called agoda to ask what was happening. Someone had called agoda, pretended to be me, and cancelled the reservation, then the hotel reported me as a no-show so it could keep the money. Forty minutes later, agoda emailed me: “We regret to inform you that we have received a report from the property stating that they are unable to accommodate your booking due to unavoidable circumstances. As a result, the booking has been canceled by the hotel.”

The staff were rude, and this is a place to avoid. Don't book a room here if you want to avoid bad surprises.

The staff are helpful and accommodating.

I’ve never stayed anywhere worse.
