Friends suggested this basic hotel, and the room was clean and smelled nice. There were hardly any English channels on the TV and no movie channels. The pool looked nice, and the bar was cute. Everything seemed well kept, which I appreciate a lot when traveling in the Philippines. We'll stay again on our next visit to Canigan.

The staff didn't seem very customer focused. The beef sisig was tasty, though. My fish and chips came with undercooked fish, so they replaced it with a fish fillet.

The hotel is nice, and the staff were very friendly, especially Miss Tin. Wi-Fi was okay on the ground floor but needs improvement upstairs.

Mabini Hotel needs better emergency readiness. There was no generator, and the emergency lights weren't working properly. Staff should be trained to handle these situations so guests can feel safe and supported. Service was also very poor during our stay, especially at night, when there was no attendant available to deal with problems.

We were exhausted and didn't get to enjoy the many facilities, though they looked great. The rooms were tidy and clean, and after two weeks in Filipinas this was the first place where we'd had a proper, steady hot shower. The staff were also a big help when we needed to negotiate with our motorbike renter about leaving the bike at the airport, since he didn't speak English very well. It got a little noisy outside at night, and the refrigerator made some noise too. Still, having a fridge of your own isn't common, and we had a very nice stay.
