Lancaster Hotel by Central Flats

The service was just okay, nothing that impressed us. The room itself was very bad: the TV had no channels, and the cable box only offered five. The 14th-floor hallway smelled awful, and the refrigerator doors wouldn’t shut properly. We had to call a plumber because the bathtub had no water. It also had no drain plug, and the one the front desk brought after 35 minutes didn’t fit. This gets one star from me.

The staff were friendly and accommodating, and the room was nice. I stayed here last March for a friend’s wedding, and it was also an easy walk to the MRT. I checked out Paddington Place beside lancaster too. Construction was underway, and I think it’s nearly finished, so I’m planning to book there soon.

The shower and blower were damaged, the double lock on the door was broken, and the lights wouldn’t switch off properly. We called reception right away, reported everything, and asked to move rooms. Nobody called us back or came to help.

We couldn’t move our belongings out to B1 until we listed every single item on the gate pass. Everything was already downstairs, and remembering every item was unrealistic. Then they asked for the unit owner’s signature at the last minute, which held us up even more since the owner was hard to reach. The building is old, with no Wi-Fi router cable in the unit, and the windows were so dirty you could barely see the view. If you want Wi-Fi in your condo, expect another 30k for construction because they have to connect it to an electric post outside. Don’t rent here.
