Ancestors Pension House

The location was the one thing I liked, with a mall, fast food places, and a church all within walking distance. For 800-plus, though, I got a standard room that felt really cramped. The bathroom was worse, barely any room to move, and the shower and toilet were only a few inches apart. There was nowhere to hang a towel while I was in there, and no visible clothes cabinet. Management should provide one. I do wonder whether the larger rooms have bigger bathrooms and a CR.

I had a relaxing stay in a clean, friendly place, and the upper-floor views were nice. It’s handy for shopping too, with malls and shopping centers close enough to walk to. There are places nearby serving all kinds of Filipino food, and Mandaue City Hall and the parish church are also close. The downside is that it’s by a high school and a very busy street. I’m still in the Cebu area and come back about once a month to look for secondhand things, especially jeans. I don’t buy clothes at malls, and that goes for shoes too.

A calm spot in central Mandaue, close to the church and City Hall, with a parlor next door. This is a nice family pension house. It’s been renovated recently, though the rooms still feel old. You can get a simple, good breakfast for a reasonable price.

The room was tiny, and the CR door was broken. For what we paid, it didn’t feel worth the cost. The front desk staff also weren’t very approachable.
