The room was tiny, some fixtures were broken, and the bathroom door was hard to open. There’s no elevator. They stopped us and blamed us over a missing remote, which was actually in the room, and made us check our bags and go back upstairs. After checkout, I asked about a watch I’d left there just minutes earlier, but the staff didn’t bother checking and gave me lazy answers.

The staff made this stay for me. They were polite, helped however they could, and even let me check in early when I arrived ahead of time. The wifi was good, and the room TVs are Smart TVs, so you can stream videos and movies. The rooms, hallways, and stairs are all quite small, and there’s no elevator, so you have to climb up yourself. I actually like small rooms, so I was comfortable. The bathroom was small too, and the shower hung so low that I had to bend a little to use it. The hotel is near lots of popular places to eat, so there are plenty of options. I booked two nights because it was the cheapest rate I found in Sampaloc, and for just over a thousand, I wasn’t expecting much.

The price is great for a short stay, and the staff were quick to help. The shower had hot and cold water, and the AC cooled the room well. But the floor was dusty enough to notice when walking barefoot, and little roaches kept crawling out of the sink holes. If you’re afraid of roaches, this might not be the place for you.

The room had a hole and dirty walls that made me hesitate to lean against them. There was a fresh stain on a throw pillow, and the bedding made me itchy. Noise outside kept us from sleeping until morning. The staff could at least say hello or thank you. We don’t expect to be treated like royalty, but tired travelers deserve basic courtesy. This place wasn’t worth what we paid, and I wouldn’t recommend it.
