The room was spacious, almost like a small suite, with a fridge, kitchen cabinets, and a smart TV, all at an affordable price. The location is central and convenient, but being right in the old center means dealing with Manila’s bad traffic. The area is also prone to flash floods, as shown in the attached pictures. The flooding can be severe enough to block access and close the LRT. There are downsides inside too. Soundproofing is terrible, especially facing the main road, where the LRT is loud, and the pillows smelled funny. Service was odd: staff said room service was only available after a minimum three-day stay, and even after that they didn’t refill the mineral water bottles. A mixed bag in every way.

The street gets noisy at night because of the traffic and the train passing right by. Still, the rooms were clean and spacious, with comfortable bedding, and there’s a security guard outside all day. The staff were lovely and gave us one of the best Filipino impressions we’ve had, especially since I’d only just arrived in the Philippines. For its competitive price, it’s an excellent hotel, and I highly recommend it.
