Time Traveller's Hotel

The room door wouldn't lock or unlock properly, so I had to call the front desk for help. The place was poorly maintained and the room looked old. The bed foam was bad and the sheet was really thin, not worth the price. They also didn't say the backpackers room had a shared bathroom. I thought it was air conditioned, but it only had an exhaust fan. If I could, I'd give it zero stars.

I booked quickly so my sister and mother could have a place for one night in Manila before going to the U.S. Embassy early the next morning. My sister called to confirm the booking and said the receptionist was very rude. After that, she felt uneasy about staying there with our senior citizen mom. I checked the reviews and photos, and got worried too. The rate is cheap, but the quality seems to match what you pay, and the photos looked creepy. We cancelled so they wouldn't have to deal with that receptionist. Please send the refund as soon as you can.

Worst hotel management and stay I've had. I wasn't expecting much for what I paid, but they should at least be honest. I booked a BACKPACKER room through expedia, and the bedroom details clearly said AC CONDITIONING and included Bidet, so I assumed there'd be a bathroom. Instead, there was NO AC CONDITIONING, and the bathroom was shared, which the listing never said.

The room was decent, and the hot water and cold AC both worked. Reception was friendly, but the walls do little to block sound, so the nightlife nearby made it really noisy. Beggars approached us as soon as we left and again when we returned.
