V Hotel

I think the facilities, amenities, and rooms all need improvement 😅😅

The staff are very friendly, and the location is central with lots of restaurants around. The pool and rooftop looked bigger in the pictures than they really are. The water wasn’t clear, and the pool could be cleaner and have less chlorine. Room 807 had a private bathroom but no window. I wouldn’t recommend staying too many nights, though it’s up to you. Maybe they have better rooms than the one I stayed in.

Breakfast being included was a nice extra, and the hotel has all the basics. Security felt very strict, which makes sense with so many people around the area. I did request a non-smoking room, though, and the lobby on my floor still smelled of smoke.

Getting around was easy by public transport, and there are plenty of restaurants, banks, clubs, and nightlife nearby. You do have to walk a block to reach it. The night view over malate was nice, and the staff were polite and very attentive. The bed was okay, the shower had strong pressure and heated quickly, and the fridge and flat-screen TV were good. Toiletries are available if you ask. The lobby and restaurant look modern and renovated, but upstairs the rooms feel like an old dormitory, with an old smell and poor upkeep. The sofa looked dirty and worn. Parking is limited to two spaces along the road. There are public lots nearby if those are full, but they charge a fee and cars must be moved before 7am or they'll be towed. I've stayed in many budget hotels, and given the price and room type, I wouldn't come back. I didn't find the stay comfortable.
