We barely touched our laptops during this work-team break. We brought them along in case we did a little work, but ended up spending all but about 15 minutes relaxing. That was exactly what we needed. It was a genuinely rejuvenating escape, and after the two-hour drive home I felt recharged and full of energy. I've been working at double speed since. What made it so restorative was the whole experience: the drive along SCTEX, the smell of the trees, birds overhead, lush greenery, a view of the ocean, good food, and some of the best sleep we've had in ages. Our terrace looked out over tall trees full of birds, with a glimpse of the calm sea beyond. Mornings were especially peaceful, sitting with freshly brewed coffee and that view. We'd come to Subic many times for work, so this trip with a few teammates and two kids was just for rest. I usually prefer Airbnbs surrounded by nature, and after looking around, we picked Vines and Canopy. I tend to overpack for staycations, bringing kitchen towels, toiletries, pillows, condiments, pans, and a coffee machine. We didn't need any of it. The villa already had everything we could think of. It was spotless, roomy, and well equipped. Each bedroom had six pillows, its own bathroom, four crisp white towels, shampoo, conditioner, and liquid soap. The kitchen had good cookware and kitchenware, wine glasses, and a great coffee machine with complimentary ground coffee. My own machine stayed in its bag. I also appreciated the open-plan living, dining, and kitchen space, with large sliding glass doors opening onto the balcony and scenery. The staff were so kind, respectful, and accommodating that after enjoying the first day, we immediately extended our stay by another night. One night just wasn't enough. There was also a wonderful restaurant right in front of the property.

We loved our three nights here. The bay view through all those trees was beautiful, and the villa was huge, spotless, and well maintained. It was quiet and calming without feeling too isolated, since it's still along the main road and easy to get to. The aircon was freezing cold, which we appreciated in the heat. We could cook our own meals in the well-equipped kitchen, and Grab delivery was available too. Thanks so much, Sir Art, for being so kind, friendly, and accommodating. We felt very welcome. We were also given complimentary truffle kamote chips on arrival, and they were so yummy! We'd happily book again and recommend it to anyone after a peaceful, comfortable stay in Subic.

The staff made sure we were comfortable and were very accommodating. You can feel how much care goes into looking after guests and maintaining the property. We stayed at Vine and Canopy last February, and it was a wonderful, memorable break. Waking up to greenery and fresh air was one of our favorite parts. Everything felt prepared with thought, from the cozy accommodations to the small details around the property. It's peaceful, beautifully designed, and surrounded by nature, a refreshing place to slow down away from the busy city. We'd love to return and would recommend it to anyone wanting a relaxing nature getaway.
