The beach was still beautiful and peaceful despite the typhoon, and the rooms near the sea view look like they could be lovely. I'd consider booking here if I return to Guimaras. We visited during Typhoon Tino, and the roads were hazardous, with fallen electric wires, slippery paths, and tree branches in the way. Some areas in Guimaras had weak signal, so we relied only on Google Maps and found the resort a bit challenging to locate. When we arrived, it was closed because of the typhoon. The staff kindly let us look around after we explained we only planned to swim for the day. Since the place wasn't fully operating or cleaned yet, they charged us only 200 PHP. The pool was empty, but the staff were genuinely nice.

Ask about the Taklong tour when you visit. The place is quiet, with no one playing budots. It's clean, though not exactly posh, and the frontage is good for snorkling and open water swiming. One warning: lowtide starts late in the afternoon. Swimming is best in the morning when the water is highest. Later it gets very low, and you may have to walk through seagrass where there could be urchins.

Bring your own lunch, since the restaurant isn't always open. It's a little out of the way, but a beautiful place to spend the day if you want a secluded spot with a small private cove and not many people around.

The biggest problem for us was the room. We paid for the most expensive one, but it felt creepy and dated and needs remodeling. The shower and sink leaked, the toilet wouldn't flush until I fixed it myself, and the outlets only worked about half the time. There was no TV, and Wi-Fi didn't connect from our room. We wouldn't come back. The beach was very quiet and secluded, with very few guests around, and the staff were friendly and attentive to what we needed. It's far from downtown, though there isn't much happening downtown anyway.

The beach was empty, which was the one decent thing about this place. It's far from everything, and there's clearly no infrastructure for food or anything like that. The owner must be clueless, what a shame. I came to check room prices, and the rates for this dump are insane. Everything was in horrific condition. There was trash and old equipment all over the property, and the pool was clearly unusable, like something out of a horror movie. No room here should cost over 1k/n, and even that feels like a stretch.
