Tum's Resort

Getting into town was easy, with trikes passing all the time and fares never over 60 pesos for us, even though the place is a little outside town. The staff were really helpful, and even arranged breakfast for 5:30 in the morning. Our room was clean, with a good shower and A/C. It’s right by the ocean, and we’d definitely stay again.

What I’ll remember most is how genuinely kind and enthusiastic the staff were. They helped us sort out our itinerary and did everything with a lot of care. The resort itself is cozy, with a beautiful ocean view, especially in the morning and at sunset. I came with two buddies and we had a blast. The rooms were clean and had pretty much what we needed for a short stay. If I’m remembering right, breakfast was included every morning, with fruit, eggs, and sausages rather than just bread and butter. Hopefully our paths cross again.

The beach is right there, but swimming wasn’t great because of all the sea urchins and rocks. It’s also a long way if you’re doing everything DIY. Still, I enjoyed the room and the view, and the staff were really nice. Breakfast was huge, I was full afterward. I was a bit disappointed that we’d booked an upstairs room but ended up on the first floor. The WiFi wasn’t very good for work, so I used my Globe connection instead. I’d recommend it as a stop.

The staff were excellent about handling requests, and they cook really well. Guests can bring their own food or ask the staff to cook. Breakfast is free, and there’s hot and cold water, a shared fridge, and a 30-minute massage for guests. Rooms are clean and have cable TV and a shower. The second-floor rooms look out over the beach, and there’s parking just outside the gate.
