Be Palace Hotel

After driving for five hours, we arrived in the evening with our car and found there was no parking, even though Agoda had said it was available. Our room was on an upper floor with no Wi-Fi signal. Staff said they would look into it, but there still wasn't any signal the next morning. The shower hose was too short to wash properly, and the floor became dangerously slippery when soapy. The hotel was much more mediocre than we expected. We ended the booking after the first night, but Agoda didn't refund the remaining days we'd reserved. Very disappointing.

Getting around town from here is easy, and the location is a real plus. The service was helpful and friendly at all hours. Our room was clean and the bed was comfortable, though parking spaces are scarce. There were problems in the room too: the whole ceiling was damp and fungus was starting to grow, there were no windows, and only the aircon for ventilation. One of the two power outlets didn't work.

The location is excellent, and there's an elevator. The hotel itself is just okay. Our bathroom could have been cleaned more thoroughly, and the shower heater didn't work well. The outlet beside the bed had wiring exposed, which could be dangerous if it came into contact with water.

The internet was fast, around 100Mbps, which was a bright spot. Check-in went smoothly, but they didn't ask for ID, so it didn't feel secure. The room door could be opened with a card or any flat object, and the hallway smelled of cigarette smoke. The matrimonial room was okay, but there was no phone and the TV remote didn't work. The bathroom wasn't very clean, though that's what I expected at a budget hotel, and the exhaust fan was noisy. They take all major credit cards, and booking through third-party sites is possible.
