Blue Lagoon Inn & Suites

The pool was clean and warm, the villas around it looked lovely, and the food was good. Our food server was prompt and polite. I got a good Agoda deal too, so I’d recommend Blue Lagoon Inn & Suites for several reasons. My one issue came at checkout, when an inexperienced person was left alone at the front desk. She couldn’t answer my questions about the room types or transport back to the airport.

The photos made the place look lovely, but in person it felt quite run-down. The location isn’t the worst, though the path from the main road was muddy and dark. My standard room was awful: the lighting was depressing, it smelled of mold, and the bathroom had a strong sewage odor. The pool was small, with only a few sunbeds nearby. At breakfast, the fruit plate had just one piece of melon. It wasn’t a pleasant stay.

The service, living space, and pool were nice. Still, there’s room to improve: getting in along the access road was an extremely bumpy ride, and the bathroom, or comfort room (CR), in my room had mold.

A nice pool, cold a/c in the room, friendly service, and good food at the restaurant. The location worked well too. It had what I needed for a budget-friendly short stay in Puerto Princesa, and I’d stay here again.
