Liwayway Sa Bohol-Pamilacan Bed & Breakfast

We extended our visit by several nights because we loved it so much. At 2000 pesos for a large family room, it was incredible value. The rooms are huge, spotless and very comfortable, and the photos really don't show how nice this place is. Ivy and the whole team were warm, genuine and kind. From arrival we felt looked after. Ivy arranged trips with local guides who were great with our kids, keeping them busy on the boat between snorkeling spots and making the outings memorable for our family. The fresh food was delicious, whether chicken or fish, and you can taste the quality. It felt like true Filipino hospitality. The location is right on the beach, with sand right outside and coral you can snorkel to directly from shore. No boats or crowds, just clear water and reef. This place is something special, and we can't recommend it enough.

The night sky was incredible, with more stars than I've seen anywhere except the desert in Africa. We spent four fantastic nights here on a beautiful island with really kind people. Exploring the village, swimming and snorkeling were all great, and the coral reef right in front of the hotel was stunning. We saw lots of fish and turtles. Staying overnight was a highlight. Come and enjoy life here.

We stayed two nights and had a great time. The room was spotless, the food was amazing, and the staff were so friendly. It's a lovely spot for swimming, snorkeling or just relaxing. If you want to get away from everything, book here. They do offer a transfer boat to and from the island, though it's rather pricey.

I loved being able to swim with turtles on one side and see a world class coral reef on the other. Walking around the island and meeting friendly locals was great too. I was happy with the stay. The island is good for a few days of unwinding, and the lack of luxury is part of its charm. There are several accommodation compounds next to each other, but this one seemed the most popular. The staff helped with everything, the eating area was comfortable, and the food was good and varied. If you want a change for lunch, you can try somewhere else. The compound is pretty compact and can feel crowded. Dogs patrol the area and can be noisy, and the bungalow walls are thin, so keep that in mind. The beaches were a bit disappointing. Swimming or just lounging there wasn't easy, and I hoped the beaches elsewhere around the island would feel more remote and idyllic. They were average. Still worth spending time on the island, even without picture perfect views.
